Such a happy and abundant flower that so many call an irritating weed that has roots all the way to China. But did you know the many benefits that come from this plant? First of all, the dandelion is one of the first flowers that the bees look for in the spring. And of course without bees...yeah...we might can pollinate using other methods...but who will make our honey???
This plant contains many vitamins including A, B6, C, K, Calcium, Iron, Potassium. With this in mind...you can probably see where this is going. For centuries, dandelions have been used for nutrition (leaves in salads) and medicinally (root tea). They have been used for ailments as simple as acne to those more complex like liver disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, and yes...even cancer.
I am pretty sure the reason this sunny plant is so abundant is because it has just that many more reasons to be here. I believe that for every ailment there is a natural cure...it is just up to us to find it...again
